Membership Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective: August 3, 2026
Membership Term
Black Association Executives (BAE) membership operates on a calendar-year basis from January 1 through December 31. Membership becomes effective when BAE receives and accepts the membership application and payment. All memberships expire on December 31 of the applicable membership year.
Membership dues are not prorated for individuals who join after January 1 unless BAE expressly offers a prorated or promotional membership rate.
Membership Cancellation
Members may cancel their membership at any time by emailing info@thebae.org. The request should include the member’s full name and the email address associated with the membership account.
Unless the member requests immediate cancellation, membership benefits will remain active through December 31 of the applicable membership year. Immediate cancellation ends access to member benefits as of the cancellation date.
Refunds
Membership dues are non-refundable and will not be prorated, credited, or refunded because of:
-
Voluntary cancellation or resignation;
-
A change in employment, professional status, or membership eligibility;
-
Failure to participate in BAE programs or use membership benefits; or
-
Cancellation before the end of the membership year.
BAE will review refund requests involving a duplicate payment or a documented payment-processing error. Any approved refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Membership Transfers
BAE memberships are non-transferable. Membership belongs to the individual named in the membership application, even when an employer or another organization pays the dues.
Suspension or Termination
If a membership is suspended or terminated in accordance with BAE’s bylaws or applicable organizational policies, membership dues will not be refunded except when required by law.
Questions regarding this policy may be directed to info@thebae.org.
