The Black Association Executives (BAE) is exactly what it says. We are a community of Black professionals who are a part of or serve, the association community. It is our mission to foster a community that builds and sustains a pipeline of Black Association Executives (BAE), in an atmosphere that is positive and fulfilling.
During an affinity group pop-up at the 2022 American Society of Association Professionals (ASAE) annual meeting in Nashville, TN, Black leaders thought that the energy and enthusiasm for supporting their community should not stop there. For several months following the meeting, they hosted online meetings regularly and revived an online discussion board. This evolved into monthly dinners, a LinkedIn group, coffee chats, and more.
We want to have a space to recruit people into our industry and amplify those who are doing incredible work. BAE aspires to inspire and increase the presence of Black association professionals at every level. From education to practice, we will support, mentor, and affirm the work of our peers and serve as a representation of this community's needs.
It is our hope that you will find mentors, rising stars, speakers, and new thought leaders to incorporate into your professional life with stories and relationships that will impact your career for years to come. Whether in Washington D.C., Chicago, Orlando, or Los Angeles, we hope to see you among us, seeing this vision through.
